Antique mixed wood construction drop-front writing bureau. Front panel folds down to create a desk. Beautiful, curved cabriole legs inspired by Queen Anne style. Circular decorative carving on the front, not typical of English bureaus. Pieces like this were made when Asian design was fashionable in Europe and this detail adds a bit of personality. Two spacious drawers skilfully crafted with dovetail joints. Most likely early 20th century (1900-1930). 

This piece has been sanded, primed and painted using Frenchic 'Cool Beans'. Legs have been sanded to expose beech wood. Paintwork has been finished with a clear topcoat for extra protection and durability.

As with all my items, this is a preloved item. Very solid, structurally sound and in excellent condition.
